Welcome to Long Beach Island and its surrounding shore communities! It’s a place where lifelong memories begin. Spending time on the beach with family and friends, swimming, surfing and skim boarding, sailing, fishing and crabbing – great shore activities abound. Having been one of the lucky ones to spend every summer of my childhood at my family’s home in Barnegat Light, I well know the joys of LBI living.
After receiving my BA degree in Communication with a co-major in Fine Arts, I decided to travel and see the world: Europe, South Pacific, and the West Indies are just a few places I visited. I have sailed across the Atlantic Ocean three times, spent a summer sailing in Greece, and lived in Sweden for five years, but the draw of summers past and good friends on LBI brought me home.
Since moving here as a year-round resident, I was employed as the Executive Director at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences in Loveladies. I value my 13-year experience there as a fund-raiser, grant writer, and promoter of the fine arts and marine sciences to the LBI communities. Even more importantly are the friendships I have made throughout the Island.
After having our son, I went back to school and earned a BA degree in elementary education. I have worked in the area school systems as a substitute teacher. I have volunteered for community activities such as the Cub Scouts, Little League Softball, PTA, and church activities. I live in Harvey Cedars with my family.
